PROJECT TEXT: The spiral shape of the design refers to the passage of time and the relationship to the landscapeÑboth themes of the exhibition. The spiral creates a courtyard, and this communal gesture is a reminder of the importance of culture as the lens through which nature is viewed. Upward and aspiring, downward and rooting, inward and enclosing: these three main gestures are reinforced at a variety of levels in this design, from the choice of materials to the disposition of the details.
